Dr. Amy Marshall
Dr. Amy Marshall

Dr. Amy Marshall graduated from Ursuline Academy in New Orleans, LA. She volunteered her time in high school in

Excimer Laser data collection for Lasix surgery at the LSU Medical School in Ophthalmology.

She graduated Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana. As a student research assistant, she participated in studies on the neurological effects of malathion(pesticides) on the aquatic species and the environment.

Upon graduation, she began working at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio as a Research Assistant in hematology and nephrology studies. DNA studies in this molecular field gave insight into the complexity of the biochemistry and it’s effects at the cellular level.

She joined the United States Air Force Reserves as a medic and graduated with honors in an Honor Flight at Kelly AFB, San Antonio, Texas (1996). She received Airman of the year for her contributions to her squadron.

She received her commission as a officer in the Air Force Reserves and served as a battlefield surgical nurse attached to a MASH unit. Here she became a program instructor in preparing and running an Air Transportable Surgical Suite dispatched from C-130 aircraft.

She retried as a Captain from the Naval Air Station, JRB (formerly Carswell AFB), Fort Worth, Texas(2005). She was awarded an incentive flight in an F-16 for her accomplishments.

With her service in Battle Field Medicine came an awareness and passion for the medical needs of veterans and their service related injuries, as well as their mental health needs. Her goal is to implement the voltage paradigm to assist veterans in their healing journey.

She graduated Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1998) and worked in the Parkland Hospital operating room in the trauma unit. She assisted in surgeries of neurology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, and many others. As the surgical nurse internship program educator, she trained others in fulfilling their roles in the operating room.

Suspending her career, she pursued higher education and graduated Cum Laude with her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama. With experience in clinical practice using standard medical care, awareness of those suffering with sub-clinical hypothyroidism symptoms emerged.

Undiagnosed subclinical hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, as well as incorrect treatment of hypothyroidism,

became a focal point of interest.

Becoming aware of under-diagnosis in thyroid dysfunction and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis inspired her to return to school completing a research study to improve the diagnostics for subclinical hypothyroidism. She completed her Doctorate, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Samford University. Her study has been submitted for publication.

She became a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington in the Family Nurse practitioner program. After three years of teaching, she has focused her

energies in helping patients heal in the voltage paradigm at the Tennant Institute, where, she has been a patient herself for 15 years. Making education and skills available for others in an online format is her goal.

She is currently enrolled in the Fellowship for Integrative Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Anging Medicine.

Clinical areas addressed by Dr. Marshall are general overall heath prevention/improvement, hormone balancing, thyroid and adrenal function optimization, nutritional counseling, and scar treatment utilizing neural therapy. Addressing the core causes of ill health is the focus of her visit. At times, a core cause of illness may be emotions. Emotion work, using scalar sound therapies, has become a more integral part of her practice in helping people heal.

She lives in the Dallas area with her husband and children. Her hobbies including swimming, reading, sewing, singing and playing the guitar. Her family is part of a professional choir and orchestra in the Dallas area and are looking forward to their upcoming concert at Carnegie Hall, New York.

“I consider it a privilege to help others on their own journey to health and meeting patients where they are. My past healing journey has required the healing help of others and without them, Dr. Tennant notably, I would not be where I am today.

My goal is to pass on what I have developed and learned to others so that they may help heal themselves and their loved ones.”

“Integrating the theories and principles in Dr. Tennant’s: Healing is Voltage, has allowed me to help my patients on many levels. We must move from molecular based medicine to the frequency-based medicine to move forward. We have come to understand that there are many areas that must be addressed for a patient to get well and stay well. Now in my practice, I can address the “why am I sick” instead of just covering up the symptoms. When the “why” is discovered, then the process of healing can begin.” Dr. Amy Marshall, DNP

*The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is a terminal professional degree in nursing practice, an alternative to the research focused doctoral degree. The curriculum for the DNP degree builds on traditional master's programs by providing education in evidence-based research practice, quality improvement, and systems leadership. Furthermore, the DNP is intended to be a parity degree with other health care doctorates such as psychology, medicine, and dentistry.
